Catching CO2 and using it for hand sanitizer production

New York Start-Up “Air Co” switched from producing Vodka to hand sanitizer made from atmospheric CO2, helping NY authorities overcome the shortage of hand sanitizer.

The number of Covid-19 cases are skyrocketing in the USA with New York City being one of the main hotspots. In order to tackle the shortage of hand sanitizer in New York, the Start-UP Air Co  adapted their production facilities. Air Co invented a process that enables producing ethanol by using industry-emitted CO2 in the air.Normally producing Vodka, they now started to use their factories for hand sanitizer production. Working together with authorities, they are distributing their disinfectants to facilities who need them the most.
