South Korea is developing the world`s biggest floating solar power plant near Saemangeum. Once finished, the system will produce 2,1GW of green energy.
Floating RV panels can be installed on every calm waters, such as lakes or reservoirs. The latter allows combining hydroelectric power stations with additional solar panels to make the best use of the space.
It is a win-win situation: The solar panels shield the reservoir from sunlight which leads to less evaporation. On the other side the water cools the RV system, thus making it more efficient.
We are looking forward to more sustainable and green solutions like this one and will keep an eye on the Saemangeum project…
