Seattle top-restaurant “Canlis” adapts quickly to Corona-Crisis

Agile and innovative transformation of a restaurant’s business model.

Since Monday, March 16, the fine-dine restaurant “Canlis” based in Seattle (WA) had to close its doors due to the ongoing Corona pandemic. But the owners Mark and Brian Canlis rethought their business in order to survive. They decided to redesign the restaurant’s entire operation system and transformed it from a high class restaurant with beautiful views from the dining room into a delivery-factory for burgers, bagels and more. Therefore it was possible for them to maintain their 115 employees. Waiters and waitresses were repurposed as delivery people and are now serving at peoples’ doors.
