VR is showing the impact of COVID-19

Doctors at the George Washington University Hospital are now using VR-tools to display the effect of Sars-CoV-2 on their patient’s lungs.

The George Washington Hospital now is using Virtual Reality (VR) technology in the fight against COVID-19. VR technology enables the medical team to see into the patient’s lungs. What they have seen has been quite concerning. By visualizing the effect of the virus to the lungs, the doctors want to raise awareness to how severe the consequences can be if one is infected with the virus. Using new technology and innovative approaches like this can help to fight the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
